Take your Art to the people!

Find other artists in your area and use your collective drawing power to put on shows that are overflowing with passion, context, and god forbid meaning.

In my o so humble opine the arts were never meant to be seperated in the first place, and can have a more quantum multi-layered effect on an audience than any one alone. Since the diaspora of cave art in the ?late neolithic? the arts have been more and more seperate and more and more about ego attachment to an artists brand or style.

Hitting it up!! Graff vids for days...

Due to the illegal nature of graffiti art it is often overlooked by "legitimate" artists, scholars, gallery owners, and other people of the craft. It has influenced not just art, but design and advertising tremendously!

My blog doesnt have a very wide range of fonts but even a lot of the cooler modern fonts are based off of graff designs. I personally think that graff has been influenced by body art, however that gets me into a chicken/egg quandary I wont try to further elucidate. Which do you think came first?

The music for this was done by some Outershpongolians , who make a very beautiful racket quite consistently. So far I havent been able to dig up much on James Post who is responsible for the visual component of this, but be assured this isnt the last youve heard from me!!

Paul Laffoley is my new favorite artist in the whole world, if you hadnt noticed already, so even though this is my third post laffoley-related it wont be my last.

Alex Gray is amazing, but Paul Laffoley is utterly stupendous to me in a way not much else is right now.

Paul Laffoley is an extremely amazing person and his body of work are more like maps of the sub-conscious(I would prefer to exchange sub for supra but that would likely just confuse my meaning) than paintings. Now let me say I am aware that in a way all visionary art is a map of our mingling minds back at the source of all this consciousness which isnt back there but simply here and now. Pauls maps are extremely detailed, defined, and labeled in a way that is meta-symbolic rather than just merely figurative. I have spent hours poring over tiny details of his Dreamfuture schematics and I find myself more personally engaged each time I look at them. Check out his site and say hello to Miqel! Thats my man throwin down!!
