Ancient social concepts finally publicly accepted by Democratic party

Leading Democrats: “Expropriate the Expropriators”by Paul Street November 14, 2007
"Tired of defending their business-friendly and state-capitalist policy proposals against Republicans’ insistent description of them as weapons of radical Leftist “class warfare,” the leading Democratic candidates for the United States presidency have taken a surprising new turn. “Let’s Get Real."

“Listen,” Hillary Clinton told a stunned collection of reporters yesterday in Des Moines, Iowa. “If the Republicans and the right wing noise-machine are going to just constantly call us socialists, let’s show them what the word means. And let’s quit running from who we actually are. I’ve been doing it for too long. It’s time to say what we really think. No more hiding behind reformist bourgeois labels and agendas. Listen up Fox News, because you’re going to love this. We’re Marxist-Lenninists, and we always have been. Deal with it.”

“You know, it’s like my mother used to say,” Clinton added: “be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.”

Wearing a red bandana and a Che Guevera T-Shirt autographed by Hugo Chavez, Clinton introduced her “fellow-travelers on the road to American and world socialism.” Her new “comrades” and fellow Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama (sporting a new black beret and dashiki), John Edwards (wearing a vintage Soviet Red Army jacket purchased from a Russian clothier), Bill Richardson (dressed as Fidel Castro and sporting a Cuban cigar), Joe Biden, and Chris Dodd joined her on the stage of a high school auditorium to unveil a new 10-point plan “to overthrow private ownership in the means of production and distribution” and to establish “workers’ control.”

Eschewing the “limited goal” of “socialism in one country,” Obama proclaimed his determination to link the “new American revolution” with “revolutionary proletarian forces and cadres around the planet” to “overthrow the world capitalist system within the next 20 years.”
“I’m a realist,” Obama said. “Let’s get real about solving poverty, inequality, and environmental collapse and putting meaning back into democracy at home and abroad. Let’s admit a basic truth: none of these problems are going to be fixed – none of these things are going to happen under capitalism.” "

This is an amazing article, one of the best single pieces of news Ive heard recently, and I highly recommend that you read it and familiarize yourself with its content and authors FOOOR REAL!!

Although I have my reservations about ALL of these politicians, their open talk about the heart of systemic corruption, their own implicit involvement, and the possibility of CHANGE gives me more hope than anything Ive heard from these people in a very loooong time!

This is not to say that I am a big believer in communist ideologies either but I do think that as far as healthcare and some internal government functions it provides the best template for moving away from the current virulent shameful models we now have in place for not taking care of sick people and giving pharmaceutical parasites record profits.

My point is not that we need to start calling one another comrade, but that these communists ideas are over a hundred years old and its about time somebody started to further examine and implement these ideas so we can move on to ideas from say THE 21st CENTURY MAYBE.

Justin Boland We Salute You!!

Do you know Justin Boland? No, me neither. But If I met him I would be tempted to give him a bigass bear hug and say something like right the fuck on.

Does this ring any bells?

Thirty-seven
666 = 18 x 37. Thus 37 is the largest prime factor of the number of the beast; and the factor 18 is significant in that it represents the age at which many vices become legal.
37 squared is 1369, a number which combines the unlucky connotations of 13 with the sexual connotations of 69. 13 and 69 are themselves connected in that 13 squared is 169.
This superlative character is the wizard behind the curtain of a growing empire of Oz, the curator of several amazing websites, uncommonly talented lyricist/mc, dope beat producer, warrior poet, as well as a new breed of visionary cybermutant with the innate ability to target his market and reverse-engineer himself as their inscrutable avatar.
Are you starting to undertstand yet?
Coins are like struggles, they both have at least two sides. The struggle I speak of is the control of the ability to set the context of dialogue, to dress the stage , name the characters, and call the cast. The battle to decide who gets to decide whats real and what isnt, in a society enraptured by its own outlook, is more important than any swords, bullets, bombs, or airplanes can ever be.
This is the meaning behind phrases like war of words, information war, and the battle against the human imagination.
On one side of our drama we have the technocrats who represent the old paradigm, its antiquated industries and the blind faith in their business model that binds them to it. On the other side we have the techno-mutant, who as a direct product of change is utterly fearless in the face of all the technocrats greatest phobias, the mutant has learned the old lessons, gained from the old technology, taken what is alive and green, and prepares to head over the next horizon. I think you can see how the conflict Im foreshadowing might develop.
Let me zoom in a little closer, and describe how this plays out in a smaller way. Lets talk about something I can go on and on about for hours. Lets talk about music.
The music "industry" is in freefall, sales of hardcopy albums are falling off at record rates, and the big labels seem to have entirely lost touch( if they ever made contact in the first place) with what the art of making "quality" music is really about. The internet has become THE WAY that an artist can present their art to a global audience, find their niche, network, and exchange goods for services with little intermediary between. This does not mean if you join myspace, soundclick, facebook, or tribe your world is going to be forever altered, these tools, like any, are only as good as the monkey swingin em!
However if you are dedicated, resourceful, able to communicate clearly, and actually talented (or have someone helping you who is) you may stand to gain much from interacting globally with both the fans and fellow purveyors of whatever genres of music you represent. Even contact with wackass phony hacks can show you what not to do, and studying the details of their missteps can save you a lot of wasted time and effort. But this datasphere is not solely a place of abstraction it is also a vast global marketplace.
Again dont let me delude you, I have talked with and read about people who make money off their merchandise, their ad/clicks, their ability to move the masses to scrutinize their latest wares, but I myself have made $0 off of my current online presence and I have been at it for at least six months now. Bear in mind my tracks are all available as free downloads, I have no other merch for sale, and Im not looking to record a studio album anytime soon.
My reasons for this are quantum but let me give you the gist of it. Before I took the name Dragonfish Killswitch onto the glorious interwebs, the people who had heard of me and my musical stylings numbered in the 200 er so range, mostly my friends and their friends friends friend. But thanks to my diligence and The Funkasaurus people all over the world now listen to my music, know my name, and request my presence.
I had a dude just the other day ask me when I would be making the circuit of NY, Rome and London, he was probly kinda taken aback to hear Ive never played anyplace more exotic than Portland, Oregon, which is a little over a hundred miles south of Tacoma, Washington, my current place in the world. From this exposure I hope to create both my brand and my fanbase, and the ability to tour and go where I am wanted the most, which right now appears to be Washington, Oregon California, New York, Texas, England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia and Japan. This data is just based off where I get the most hits from on my site map. I warned you I could talk about music forever.
37 is my mentor and unofficial chief stragetist for my current business model/outlook on all this, he is nearly always several steps ahead of where I am in my planning/manifestation. He is one of the few people I come in "contact" with that I feel both inspired and challenged by on a regular basis, and he is straight wise to the ways of this hustle in ways I am only beginning to be.
Remember the technocrats/mutant struggle?
That was awesome!! Well let me get back to that by dropping a name on you, Robert Anton Wilson. Raw only got to use the tool we call the Internet for 5-10 years before he transmuted forms. But even before this tool, raw was a supreme master of controlling the flow of information and energy around in him in such a way as to redefine the terms that one uses to process his very thusness.
In other words a wizard. A wizard who learned to create not only his own mythos but his own ethos, not to mention quantum histories, and multiple personas. I think its important to figure these things out on your own but suffice it to say that very little about this man is as it appears. Raw warped the lines between fact and fiction in ways that no one but a politician really can.
Which leads us back to technocrats. These people own ALL the weapons factories, ALL the communications networks, ALL of this plastic/cement dystopic drama of a culture they created. They can hurt/kill anyone with virtual impunity at will, but on a global scale this takes massive standing armies/police forces, which calls for a huge budget.
It would all be so much easier if the masses could be controlled without their knowledge or consent. If we made them so weak-minded that their obvious numerical superiority failed to be a factor in this conflict. If we made them believe that our way is not only the best way but indeed the only way to live in a sane, healthy, respectable society then we could have much smaller police forces that could mostly focus on weeding out the mutations and maintaining our beloved status qou.
It would be just that easy if the mutants werent savvy to this formula and able to turn this idea back again on itself and replenish the stage of archetypes with strange variables that change based on the viewers perspective, once again creating feedback throughout the system and causing the enslaved masses to fire neurons so tenuosly held under sway by the technocrat hegemony.
Not only that but we are better at this game than they are because we hold our imaginations/instinct/intuition as sacred and do not confine them to the unthinking formats of dogmatism. We adapt faster because we do not waste all that energy on fearing the unknown, so instead we have extra energy to percieve the quantum variables and act accordingly. Perhaps most importantly in reconstructing the color of our own image and presence from the cultural beige we have come to know ourselves in a way that is without equal.
Now do you think you know Justin Boland? Then consider this, how do you know Im not him creating another alter-ego, another mask to hide behind, you would never know the difference! ;~)

(1) COMMISSION- The term `Commission' means the National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism established under section 899C.
`(2) VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term `violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change.
`(3) HOMEGROWN TERRORISM- The term `homegrown terrorism' means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.
`(4) IDEOLOGICALLY BASED VIOLENCE- The term `ideologically based violence' means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual's political, religious, or social beliefs.
`SEC. 899B. FINDINGS.
`The Congress finds the following:
`(1) The development and implementation of methods and processes that can be utilized to prevent violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence in the United States is critical to combating domestic terrorism.
`(2) The promotion of violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence exists in the United States and poses a threat to homeland security.
`(3) The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens.
`(4) While the United States must continue its vigilant efforts to combat international terrorism, it must also strengthen efforts to combat the threat posed by homegrown terrorists based and operating within the United States.
`(5) Understanding the motivational factors that lead to violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence is a vital step toward eradicating these threats in the United States.
`(6) Preventing the potential rise of self radicalized, unaffiliated terrorists domestically cannot be easily accomplished solely through traditional Federal intelligence or law enforcement efforts, and can benefit from the incorporation of State and local efforts.
`(7) Individuals prone to violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence span all races, ethnicities, and religious beliefs, and individuals should not be targeted based solely on race, ethnicity, or religion.
`(8) Any measure taken to prevent violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence and homegrown terrorism in the United States should not violate the constitutional rights, civil rights, or civil liberties of United States citizens or lawful permanent residents.
`(9) Certain governments, including the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have significant experience with homegrown terrorism and the United States can benefit from lessons learned by those nations.
This really is too far, it almost seems like they are trying to start something...

Interesting article by Jamal Watson

Dr. Cornel West, one of the nation's most recognized Black public intellectuals, this week released his second hip-hop CD, a collaborative project with some of the biggest names in rap and R&B.The CD titled, "Never Forget: A Journey of Revelations," by West, who teaches religion and African American Studies at Princeton University, enlists the sounds of artists like Prince, Talib Kweli, Jill Scott, Andre 3000, KRS-One and the late Gerald Levert.

It's the second socially conscious CD for the academic who released "Sketches of My Culture" in 2001, a CD that was harshly criticized by former Harvard University president Lawrence Summers who publicly questioned West's scholarship. Summers ridiculed the CD, arguing that it was not befitting of real scholarship. The public spat eventually caused West — who felt disrespected — to abandon his alma mater for Princeton. "Sister Tilghman is qualitatively different than Brother Summers," says West, referring to Dr. Shirley Tilghman, the current president of Princeton University, who helped to lure West to Princeton from Harvard. "The hip hop scared Brother Summers. It's a stereotypical reaction."

In a recent interview with Diverse, West said that he wants this latest CD to help "the older generation raise their voices and listen to the younger generation so that there can be an internal dialogue between the two generations." He adds: "We wanted to provide a danceable education that highlights the need for an awakening, for political engagement, for progressive politics and for sheer fun." In recent years, hip hop has become an important cultural form of expression that many Black intellectuals have embraced. For example, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, a professor at Georgetown University, has published a new book called Know What I Mean? Reflections on Hip Hop, and Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, a 28-year-old professor at Temple University and a protégé of Dyson, routinely appears on television shows discussing this cultural phenomenon.

This strategy makes sense to West. "The academy and the street is all one world," said West, who has written 17 books including the best-selling Race Matters, a collection of essays that examine racial issues in the United States. "A lot of people are trashing hip hop and demonizing our young Black brothers and sisters, but it's important to bear witness in a variety of contexts and to be multi-contextual."

And yet, West says that hip-hop artists who demean and disrespect Black women should be held accountable as well. He also said that artists should become more sensitive to the use of the 'N' word and is heard on the CD debating Dyson, who defends the use of the word. On the CD, the conversation between Dyson and West is moderated by television host Tavis Smiley. "I don't think it's possible to overstate the importance of engaging and utilizing the ideas and energy of young people in activism geared toward addressing injustice here and abroad," says Kevin T. Smith, co-founder and co-editor of SleptOn.com, a socio-political online journal that features news analysis and commentary on politics, entertainment and culture."

A major impediment of progressives and radical lefty activists today is the failure of the imagination … a failure to adapt beyond the old mobilizing ideas and to adopt some of the new, popular modes of reaching people," says Smith, who applauds West's initiative. "Hip-hop music is an international phenomenon that has really captured the spirit of this generation. It only makes sense for those concerned to try to capture and harness the enormous potential of cultural art forms such as hip hop while engaging its listeners."

Thank you Jamal!

Google Dr. West if you want to hear some of his lectures, they are so inspiring to me! I first heard this guy on UWTV when I didnt have cable and was moved to remember him and learn more.

While Dr. West is a proponent first for the civil rights and equal treatment of his own people, I have heard him say some very illumined statements about humanities struggle to understand itself without the usual systems of semantics and dogma that turns into its own form of mental bureaucracy. He is a proponent of equality for all people no matter their race, nation of origin, or economic status.

We are one

This is all one struggle

Any attempts to make one race or group struggle more important than the enlightenment of all humanity is mere egoizing.

That said you must begin where you are at, ease some of your own suffering before you ever try to tell anybody else how to ease theirs.

Word?

This is one of the more interesting sites Ive come across in my travels recently, their goal: to promote a multidisciplinary view of the religious, spiritual and esoteric phenomena.

Looking through several different links brought me to this, deeper still into the rabbit hole, did you know The Fraternitas Rosæ Crucis is now centered in Quakertown, PA, USA! Curiouser and curiouser!!

To read about this:

The Universe as a Hologram
Does objective reality exist, or is the universe a phantasm?
"Somewhere there is a dream, dreaming us..."
Kalahari San Bushman saying
Then check out Zecharia Sitchin!

Here is more research about the universe being far too supportive of life to be made by anything less than a beautiful loving goddess. Alain Aspect has this posted on this yahoos evangelical site who is using it as "scientific proof" of tha lawd jaysus!! Praass jaysus! If you dont believe me click on home when youre at this link, it is still accurate science no matter the strange host!
I want to say real quick that I support thinking about these ideas and subjects not belief in any one of them. That said I think that the goddess is the best metaphor for the lifeforce of the universe, the love that sustains us, and the blood that runs through us. Just one monkeys opinion!
Also if you are using links from this site please be respectful, you want to harrass somebody copy the URL into your browser! We need to keep these damn kids from skatin on the sidewalks!!

Brave citizens defend all our right to assemble and protest.

Lincoln abstract by Ed Paschke !
Check out this video of the port protests in Olywa this week, this is the true face of our honorable "democratically elected" government. Remember this naked aggression against the people those police are sworn to protect is their less-than-lethal approach to problem solving!
Not to mention this is a very liberal administration in this state compared to some of the thumbless-wonder administrations in other states. What would Florida's trigger-happy SS have done to a group of singing, yelling, rock-throwing hippies?
Do you remember the WTO riots?
Who in our State government has any serious conflict resolution skills?
State Representative Norm Dicks isnt fit to be a used car salesman, ive seen his slimy ass up close with the plasticine political correctness guru Tipper Gore. She makes Al seem genuine, heartfelt, and well interesting, almost.
Just kidding Al, thank god you lost that election, youve actually created something possibly benign and useful, which none of the candidates who ran against you can rightfully claim.

People are sooo frustrated by the intractability of our situation in Iraq (and the almost worse one for Americans in D.C). We have watched this go on for years now and some feel helpless about their ability to do anything meaningful in response to the violence being carried out under our standard.

Two more Fort Lewis soldiers killed by roadside bomb in the midst of all the mayhem this week, and the police are much more interested in the ports right to maintain access than the peoples right to assemple and protest an illegal, immoral, irrational war that empowers no one but the military-industrial complex and its investors.
To all my people, be fast, be smart, be strong, dont be a statistic!

Wanted: Total (R)Evolution

Edwards Labels Clinton an Insider
9:12 PM EST October 30, 2007 The Associated Press MANCHESTER, N.H.
John Edwards on Monday cast Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton and her ties to lobbyists as part of a corrupt Washington system that voters should reject in the presidential election. Edwards railed against the "bankruptcy of our political leadership," an approach that his campaign said would be a major thrust of his efforts in the two months before the first nomination voting. With Clinton appearing to gain strength with every poll, Edwards seemed less to target Republican President Bush's leadership than to cast fellow Democrat Clinton as the insider voters should reject.
"This corruption did not begin yesterday _ and it did not even begin with George Bush, although Lord knows it's been present while George Bush has been president," the 2004 vice presidential nominee said in a speech at St. Anselm College. "It has been building for decades until it now threatens literally the life of our democracy."
"Senator Clinton's road to the middle class takes a major detour right through the deep canyon of corporate lobbyists and the hidden bidding of K Street in Washington," he said. "And history tells us that when that bus stops there, it is the middle class that loses."
Later, at a town-hall meeting in Exeter, N.H., Edwards blamed the Washington system for allowing the government to hire private security guards like those who work for Blackwater USA. Blackwater guards were involved in the killings of 17 Iraqi civilians in September in Baghdad.
"Right now, we've got men and women serving in uniform in Iraq while we've got a bunch of paid mercenaries roaming around the country lawless, the best I can tell, working for Blackwater and people like that," Edwards said.
The U.S. government has rejected the use of the term "mercenaries" in a United Nations report to describe Blackwater guards, saying it is demeaning to those who risk their lives defending U.S. interests. Edwards told reporters after his appearance that he didn't know the government objected to the term.
"And I don't care," he said, adding that he "absolutely" believes it is a fair term.
Edwards' earlier speech was subdued and direct. The campaign did not set up a flashy venue _ he spoke from a podium in a small stripped-down academic auditorium with just one well-worn campaign banner hanging behind him. He read from his remarks and didn't make any attempt to fire up the crowd and draw applause.
He cast the 2008 election as the culmination of an epic struggle between Washington greed and the power of the people. "This is the moral test of our generation," Edwards said.
"Down one path, we trade corporate Republicans for corporate Democrats; our cronies for their cronies; one political dynasty for another dynasty, and all we are left with is a Democratic version of the Republican corruption machine," he said"

And then the clincher!

"Singer responded by questioning Edwards' ties to special interests. Edwards has taken donations from industries that employ federal lobbyists, though he doesn't take donations directly from the lobbyists themselves. "If Mr. Edwards is so concerned about the influence of special interests, he should give back the hundreds of thousands of dollars he's taken from health care, securities, and insurance companies," Singer said.

But John Edwards could never do that, unless he was Ross Perot(who wasnt much better because instead of using other peoples $$, he had his own capital invested in these companies), because he would be without a campaign. Where else is he gonna get the money? Personal Donations? Republican or Democrat these people are subject to the same economic power base.
So whats the result?

Total Corruption !!!!! Look on the bright side at least you know what to expect from these Corporate Fascist State cheerleaders !!

!Psychic Powers!

Thank you for tuning in!

This thing we call "Art" is so ever-present and pervasive it is easy to take it for granted. Especially since so many of us are enraptured by the art of youtube, filmmaking, video games, and the archaic invention known as television. Myself not excluded!

However True Art is always present and exists whether we are around to notice it or not, or perhaps I am the invisible presence in the forest that hears all trees fall. Either way the vibrations are there they extend out into forever decaying ever so slowly. As it is with radio/digital signals so too with our bioelectrical broadcast, as we piece together our reality and live our lives we are transmitting various signals to the other members of our colony.

Call it God, collective unconscious, Psychic Powers!, witchcraft, or whatever label makes you comfortable to process it as, the essential concept is ubiqitous to all cultures. Ancestor worship is a strong candidate for the first human religion , the rememberance of those who are no longer here, but still present in our heart and mind. If you have someone special to you that you lost take a moment to think about how much you love them and the impact they have in your life and then multipy that by billions and you begin to get a sense of our collective psychic broadcast power. This is only a tiny fraction of "The Main Signal".

This "signal" is something we can all tap into within our own minds because we are creating it as we view it!!

This is true even if looked at from the narrow view of the quality of your reciever/transmitter affecting the signal you recieve, but to think of quantum signals all figure-eighting into one another unto infinity you begin to see the spiral/fractal nature of your connections. None of us are static signals, we are all cycles and loops and constantly transfiguring, whether we know it or not.

Any questions?

Ooops I almost forgot my introduction!

My name is Dragonfish Killswitch, that is the name I use as a sound artist, both poetically and on my turntables. I tried making a living off of my poetry for a while but it was just too depressing!
Being a Dj/turntablist is both better pay and in general more uplifting than performing poetry for groups of people. I would be a starving artist but I got a job as a chef and a good woman so I dont exactly miss meals!

I am looking forward to moving forward to making a living from my craft and gaining enough exposure to get some regular giggage! I vow to tour at least the west coast this summer!! Here is a link to my profile!
or if you are not a fan of myspace
or if you wanna join my tribe

Have a look and listen! Did I mention Im a proud member of the Cyberpiratefunk syndicate known as The Daily Dose of Funk?

So in order to introduce myself I will introduce you to my artform: sound sculpture via turntablism.

Turntablist, as far as I know, is not a name applied to Dj's until the 1990s. I have heard that Djs Grandmaster Flash, Babu, and Disk were all seperate creators of the term. This is part of a mythology which I personally enjoy, the basic essence of Hip-hop is about fusion/piracy, the beauty of the hustle, the flash of your wit, your hands and your mouth.

The assignation turntablist is used to say the person is devoted to blending, cutting, chopping and yes scratching of the frequency ranges which have been deemed "music" by the great jazz police on high. Nearly anyone can dj, get up up and play music at a party or on the radio, but few djs can truly call themselves turntablists. Hours upon hours must be spent in front of the decks before even the most basic skills can be mastered. If you havent seen anybody really tear up some tables recently check out Dj Woody, hes the most amazing dj youve probably never heard of. Check out some of his videos theyre utterly amazing even to veteran Djs.

The best turntablists work with a range of sounds in a pallette as a maestro leads his orchestra, combining and recontextualizing all frequencies and samples into one or many movements. A sample can be any sound from any recorded source. The art of sampling is best described by one Dj Spooky in his book and lecture series called Rhythm Science. Check out the podcast about halfway down the page, the first time I heard it I listened to it three times in a row its also downloadable, you know Im always on the hunt for new samples!
"Rhythm Science is not so much a new language as a new way of pronouncing the ancient syntaxes that we inherit from history and evolution, a new way of enunciating the basic primal languages that slip through the fabric of rational thought and infect our psyche at another, deeper level. Could this be the way of healing? Taking elements of our own alienated consciousness and recombining them to create new languages from the old"
Another great reference for this subject is "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life-the history of the disc jockey" an actual text by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton.
Here are some great quotes from them about real turntable skills.

" To really pull it off you need to understand records in terms of their precise effects upon an audience---you need to hear music in terms of its energy"

" The truth about djing is that it is an emotional, improvisational artform and here the the real scope for artistry lies. "

" Obviously the medium is music , but thats just a means to an end. In a very real sense the primary medium is emotion, the dj plays the feelings of a roomful of people."
Fun Fact: The cylinder phonograph was invented by Thomas Edison in 1877 but it was only loud enough for one person to hear it.
More fun next time!!!!!!

This is the Metatron, if you have not seen it before your life may be about to get very interesting! You can see a much more detailed version here: LAFFOLEYARCHIVE.com.

Paul Laffoley is an extremely amazing person and his body of work are more like maps of the sub-conscious(I would prefer to exchange sub for supra but that would likely just confuse my meaning) than paintings. Now let me say I am aware that in a way all visionary art is a map of our mingling minds back at the source of all this consciousness which isnt back there but simply here and now. Pauls maps are extremely detailed, defined, and labeled in a way that is meta-symbolic rather than just merely figurative. I have spent hours poring over tiny details of his Dreamfuture schematics and I find myself more personally engaged each time I look at them. Check out his site and say hello to Miqel! Thats my man throwin down!!

The Frolitics of Evolution

Hello people of Earth...

And anyone else that might be reading this!! This is the first installment of my new cosmic rigor. This will be a place for insight and discussion on arts of sound and light and their relevance to the
(R)EVOLUTION of our minds and our hearts.

We as animals constantly respond in countless ways to the interplay of sound and light around us. Our brains hum with activity when we listen to Saul Williams New Album "The Inevitable Rise and Liberation Of Niggy Tardust" (download it here:saulwilliams.com ) or any other interesting sound pal;ettes around us. The patterns of complex tones and rhythms can be a neural massage to the beleagured stressed out mind of your average working stiff.

Is this the only effect of complex tones and rhythms on our mind/body/spirit triune or can experiencing enough great art over a long enough period magnify and mutate certain physiological processes?

To be completely straight with you my personal opinion is an emphatic YES!!!, that said I will not live in la-la land and talk about this subject as if everyone out there is surrounded by a utopic plethora of fantastic mind-bending art. The truth is there is a very dark side to the ability to manipulate sound and light and our culture is ground-zero for some of the most horrific experiments ever committed by one techno-ape upon another. The politics of this battle for the ability to create consensus reality play out in all of our daily lives.

In our culture, but this true for any megametropoli, everyone and everything is constantly trying to change your mind, either by something so quasi-benign as maintaining a certain appearance ie the curb you stand on is a commercial for the city council and their ability to "maintain order". Or parkbenches, buses, taxis, trucks, delivery vans with advertisements. Even our garbage is some sort of bizarro advertisement of where somebody ate or what kind of beer we drink.

Print, radio, television, and now the interweb are all extremely powerful mediums for the control of consensus reality, people are moved by the information behind these sounds and lights in ways which are holistic and total. I mean really try to think about anything that is not directly related or involved in a static information loop with any of those four medium.

Any luck?
